S E A T

SEAT is short for Seating, Ergonomic, Assessment and Training.SEAT is both a methode and a computer program,  which helps to accomplish a kvalified seating assessment.

People with severe disabilities, among them a lot of older people ar often confined to sit for periods in the same position.

Sitting for a long time or in a bad position can create physical symptoms such as pain or joint restrictions, thus limit the persons freedom of movement.

Experiense shows, that a good assessment of the seated person followed by a correction often decrease the physical symptoms, and herby maintain the freedom of movement for this person.

The aim of SEAT is to insure that the therapists within the primary health sector, who work with seating assessment and correction - far away from specialized wards - are qualified to deal with this. The product is designed as an easy available instructive support to guide the therapist through the assessment and correction of a specific persons seated position.

SEAT is a  project establish by The County Center for Technical Aids, Information and Counselling in 1996. After a pause, C-Innovation got possession over the kernel software, and the project is now resumed in co-operation with Dafolo A/S
